I have been asked by several ferret expert veterinarians who have contacted me
privately, to issue a warning about the NeoVac® DA2 vaccine that is being
vigorously marketed to ferret shelters/rescues.
This vaccine does not have USDA approval for use in ferrets.
It is not a licensed vaccine.
It has not been tested or proven to work.
The company has not responded to repeated enquiries from concerned
veterinarians.
The real concern is that ferrets will die because unsuspecting shelters or
owners will use this potentially dangerous untested vaccine.
Please cross-post this warning to the larger ferret community.
