Thank you Annik for your sound advice! I wish more people would think carefully before getting a ferret... sigh.... Tressie

Oh wow...They cannot handle a puppy but they can handle a ferret? and its for her kid? whom I am sure he is probably a good kid, but I highly doubt a ferret is the right pet to bring into that home for him. I once seen a ad selling a ferret, the owner claimed that the ferret only ate hot dogs and ice cream. I sent her some links to ferret nutrition but she never replied so I don't even know if she checked them out, but Im sure that poor lil guy is just ridden with insulinoma by now.

This ad is no longer posted.... I was wondering whether it was from the same Toronto origin that has posted several ads in NB on Kijiji lately. They had posted last year in NS.
Extremely poor grammar and spelling.
I had replied last year to get more information i.e., where did they get a baby ferret from, who the attending vet was, etc. and never heard back from them. I suspected a scam of some sort. The photos are also stock photos because they are copyrighted.
In other words, its just a picture of a baby ferret and not a picture of the alleged baby ferret for sale.
Do you recall whether it was from a Toronto address??

This ferret is in Ontario..... I don't understand why have you placed the ad here?
There's hundreds of ferrets for sale throughout North America. Many heartbreak stories, but we don't have the means to rescue them. If its a ferret in Atlantic Canada there might be a way but not outside our region.

I responded to the ad about the 6 year-old and have offered to take him. Will let you know if I get a reply.

I agree that the eye doesn't look right. I responded to the ad and suggested same, and recommended that he take the ferret to a vet. He replied with a thank-you.... so not much more we can do except hope he complies.
