Thank you for sharing that Tressie.
I am very vigilant when it comes to any household cleaners, I keep them up high on a shelf and only use a mild dishsoap for cleaning their cage and litter box and I really make sure every single bit is well rinsed off. When I used to work at a Pet shop they made me use a strong mixture of bleach to clean out the animal cages, it was so strong it would burn my eyes out of my head. I remember thinking, those poor animals, they had to live in that, The cat and dog kennels were especially strong with the odor of bleach. I really cannot see how that could be a healthy chemical to clean pet living areas with.
As for plants, do you know any plants that are harmless to keep around pets? I would love to put some Real plants up, just not is sure what is safe to have around my pets.

That is a good concern about the plants too! I LOVE plants but my cat eats them So, I hang all my plants. I have spider plants (which I am pretty sure are not poisonous) and some other broad leaf plants that are all hung from the ceiling so none of my pets can reach them.

I checked years ago when a cat I had decided to munch a spider plant. I called the vet right away and he reassured me that it was harmless. I once had a cat who loved to eat my oregano I had in a pot inside. Mochaccina likes spider plant so I let her graze on it. It lasts longer than the cat grass and doesn't upset her tummy in the least. And I keep another one up on the bookshelf. Here's a link to a list of non-poisonous plants: www.cfa.org/articles/plants-non-toxic.htmlTressie
