Here's a video of Demon in the so called "dead sleep".
I was crying myself to die when I've seen my first ferret like that lol Now I find that funny to see my ferrets in dead sleep and I wish to sleep that well ;D

Awwww..That is adorable. Did he ever wake up fast and bright eyed though The first time I seen Pandora do this was late at night, I thought for sure she had insulonoma, All the vets were closed and I was freaking out. My hubby and I rushed her in the next day and the vet explained to me that it was normal and they are deep sleepers like that, I felt like such a fool. Two of my ferrets sleep like that but my youngest barely sleeps at all and when she does the slightest sound has her up and about.

Generally very young ferrets are prone to 'dead sleep' as are deaf ferrets. I see he has a lot of panda in him - is he deaf? Deafness is common in pandas and blazes.
I have blaze who is completely deaf, however, our recent rescue who is a panda, has normal hearing.

No Tressie, Demon is not deaf. He always "come" on comand (see my video of "Walking in Leash"). He follows very well in leash and knows his name and always come on command or when I use a squeaky toy. I once thought Johnny was deaf when he was a kit because he was very stressed and scared (he's chocolate) but he's not. He was just stressed because staff in Pets Unlimited don't handle very well their ferrets. I know 70% of ferrets are deaf but I'm not sure if its about a special color, for example Panda. And yes Airy, some time he wake up fast lol I think its because he's not really in a deep sleep. Everytime Johnny and Demon are in dead sleep you can do whatever you want with them before they wake up haha =)
