Hello
i have done a lot of research and am now wanting to get 2 ferrets preferably a male and female but that's not set in stone. i have a couple books on them that im reading now. and i already have a cage and everything. all i need is the ferrets.
if anyone is looking for a home for there's or knows someone let me know. also if there is a breeder in Newfoundland that could be an option as well.

Welcome to the FLSAC forum First of all, I never heard of any breeder in the Atlantic Canada. The only breeder I know in Canada are the one in Alberta and their ferrets got an "I" tatoo in their ear. They are called "Real Canadian (or RC)" ferrets. The FLSAC has 2 pairs of ferrets right now, looking for a forever home ! The ferrets are in NFLD. You might like to call Aletha (506) 366-3221 or Ashley (506) 534-2515. You can check these ferrets here : www.flsatlanticcanada.org/availableforadoptionatflsacbtw, I'm glad you did your homework ! If you didn't already have that book, I suggest you to get it or/and to read it : Ferrets (Animal Planet Pet Care Library) by Vickie McKimmey 2008. Tressie Dutchyn, founding member of FLSAC has written a GREAT article about "what pet stores don't tell you" and it covers the basic info everyone should know before getting a ferret : www.flsatlanticcanada.org/whatpetstoresdonttellyouTo find the best quality food avaible, I suggest you this chart : moredooks.herobo.com/search.php?chart=ferret& I also suggest you to check out his video : vimeo.com/16566253Oh ! I almost forget to mention .. The FLSAC has a list of ferret vet : www.flsatlanticcanada.org/ferretfriendlyveterinaryclinicsIts important to get a vet BEFORE getting a ferret as you will need to have them checked. Good luck in your search !

Hi, I know it's not so fun making a long distance call, but I would say it might be faster to get some news Some people don't/can't check their emails so often

Congratulations on your new fuzzkids!
Just to clarify - the Real Canadian Ferrets breeder is located in Manitoba and only sells to retail stores.
