There are dozens upon dozens of duk soup recipes. I call it 'duk' because 'duck' soup does not in fact contain duck. The name for the nutritious gruel fed to ailing or convalescing ferrets came from a ferret by the name of Duck, whose owner made a soup to keep Duck alive. Here's a few links to some of the nutritionally better recipes: miamiferret.org/duck_soup.htmkristenmcdonald.com/portfolio/web/ferretfacts/www.ferretfacts.com/chickengravy.htmlwww.ferretuniverse.com/resources/ducksoup.aspI have several recipes myself that I use - here's a couple: Hills Prescription A/D + heaping TBS 100% pure pumpkin + ground or mushed up high quality ferret kibble heaping tsp of Carnivore Care added to A/D + warm water Ground and/or mushed up ferret kibble + 100% pure pumpkin (E.D. Smith) + Innova EVO 95% Duck for Felines Various combinations of the above. I have also used the chicken baby food in past. Beech Nut made a pure chicken and broth but it is no longer sold in Canada : ( Happy cooking : ) Tressie
