My ferrets seem bored lately and are in need of new challenges. I am looking for new games and activities I can do with my fuzzbutts to make them happy. ;D Its been a few days, I let them out to play and they will run out, dig in Meeko's (our cat) box of toys, play for let say .. 30mins to an hour and go back to sleep. Today I let them explore the spare room and our bedroom (which are off-limit rooms, and still easy to supervise them in). I also let them jump a little on my bed before they start war dancing too much lol and I put the ball pit in the living room with a few tunnels for a change and they seem to love it so far, as I am writing this. They started chasing me around the house before I write you the following : I need new games/activity ideas !!!!! lol They are dooking and war dancing while I am writing this .. but would love to find them new activities to do. They deserve it lol Thanks ! Johnny Demon

Hmmmmm..... sure doesn't sound like they are bored Ferrets are generally not as active this time of year so play periods tend to be shorter. This is more the case, the older they are. As long as they are healthy I wouldn't overly worry if they retire earlier than they did a month ago. Sounds like maybe mom is finding the 'same old, same old games a little boring Exploring, chasing, dooking, and war dancing do not suggest a bored ferret However, something that is recommended is to take away some of their toys, etc. for a while and then re-introduce them. Its like having new toys again! Stimulating and inexpensive toys: -empty cardboard boxes -paper bags - plastic bags (supervised only) -rice box -blanket surfing (encourage ferret to climb onto blanket and drag the blanket around the floor) -pile cushions, pillows on the floor -dirty laundry in laundry basket -snow in a plastic tub Have fun! We have two of these 10' X 4" "solid" black corrigated plastic pipes that they just love running in and out of. Just tie a rope to each end and it makes for a smaller area for them to play. (see photo) Cost is about $5.00 each at a building supply re; Home Depot or Lowes. TayLa, AbbY and JIMmy just love them. Also, they like to chew the ends of the plastic pipe. We also toss in some dry kibble for them to hunt for! They enjoy them because its to small for a hooman to fit inside. At times we will raise up the middle part making a grade for them to climb, good excercise. TayLa, AbbY n' JiMmy do not live by our 24 hour day. They live by Unscheduled Ferret Any Time ;D bye for now Attachments:

I know what you mean.....when mine come out of their cage when we get home from work, they are really hyper for about the first hour or so and then they calm right down. Max actually climbed up on the couch with me lastnight and curled up with me for a little belly rub. This morning I put a new stuffed animal in their cage and they went completely bezerk!! Didn't take much to get them going
