The Ferret Nation by Midwest is the best ferret cage you can get. It is expensive but well worth it because it is designed specifically for ferrets and will last a lifetime. Flower Town Chinchillas are based out of Ontario and ship anywhere in Canada. They have these cages (currently on sale): www.chinchilla.ca/items.php?ProductID=MW51082&Name=Cages&source=accesTressie

The Ferret Nation cage that Tressie posted about is big enough for 4-5 ferrets. I wouldn't put more than 5 in there. Right now I have 2 ferrets in mine and they have plenty of space. Fred is not a small ferret, he is around 5 pounds, and he is not cramped at all. My friend has 4 ferrets in her Ferret Nation and both of her boys are big. They aren't cramped either. They are mostly always all in the bed! I agree with Tressie that the Ferret Nation is the best cage around. It has 2 doors on each level with removable trays. That makes it REALLY easy to clean. The only think I would say about the Ferret Nation cage is that you have to make sure you cover the ramps (I use mens' tube socks) and the 1/2 levels (shelves) because the ferrets could get their toes caught. Other than that the cage is great. A few people I know on another ferret forum have Quality or Midwest Cages. They really love them but I don't really know. Maybe it is because I didn't see it in person. This is a Quality/Midwest Cage qualitycage.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=129_169_179&products_id=940One of the women with this cage has 7 ferrets in there now.

As Mindy mentioned, the Ferret Nation is certainly more than large enough for 2 ferrets! Remember a cage is in effect a bedroom with ensuite toilet, and dining area. It is not meant as a place for them to live in full time.
Mindy's Fred is not only heavy but also quite long as far as ferrets go. He is a big boy. My Sampson was 5 lbs as well, and had no trouble in the Ferret Nation cage, neither does Cannoli my 4 lb. fuzzkid.
And as Mindy said, its important to cover the ramps and levels. I cut off sleeves from old sweaters/sweatshirts I get from Frenchie's and pin them at the top with a safety pin. I hunted everywhere for tube socks and couldn't find any and so resorted to sleeves, which also work well.
There are a number of good features about the Ferret Nation. Its on casters so super easy to move around. The doors lift off making it a breeze to clean. The bars are rounded and have a nice finish - again easy to wipe down and no sharp edges. Its quite sturdy and easily comes apart for moves. My first Ferret Nation has been disassembled and reassembled four or five times during my many moves.

The only think I would say about the Ferret Nation cage is that you This is a Quality/Midwest Cage One of the women with this cage has 7 ferrets in there now. Ive looked at both cages. but they look small to me .. i would only put one ferret in a ferret nation .. i think they would want lots of space. I think i am gonna see about getting 2 ferret nation cages. Even tho they are only in there to eat/sleep i still think they would loke to have lots of space.

They do not need more space than one Ferret Nation cage for two ferrets. That would be like you having a bedroom to yourself the size of your whole house.
Two Ferret Nation cages will cost you $700.00 - 800.00 (taxes included). The extra money spend for a cage they don't need, could go towards an account set aside for future vet expenses, which they will need.
Are they not sleeping together yet? That's another thing to consider, they will be terribly lonely in their own cages.

Ruckus is a big boy to isnt he.? Well if you could post a few pics that would help. Ruckus is a REALLY big boy lol He JUST fits into the dryer tube I have for them to play in lol The two girls are average size. I'll take some pictures when I get home from work today. The cage is pretty big, some pictures are deceiving. I was shocked at how big it actually was when I first seen one put together in the pet store, it looked smaller in the pictures I've seen.

I got mine at Pets Unlimited in St. John's. The one in Mt. Pearl also sells them but they're the only stores in NL that does. You'll have to order out of province if you don't want to buy from Pets Unlimited. If you want me to take more pictures I can, just let me know. Here are some pictures of mine, it's hard to get the actual size from picture though. The front view Bottom level (That ramp was covered like the other 2 but they ripped up the cover, I'm making a new one) Top level Side view (you can see three ferret butts here lol Ruckus is going down the bottom ramp, Roxy and Reena are on the top) Ruckus on a shelf Ruckus and Reena (just to show his size lol)

would a small cat/puppy kennel fit inside on one of the levels... Its very important.. Baby wont sleep at night if his kennel isnt in the cage with him.. Also the floor of the cage. Do it need covers like urs.. Baby is a dirty ferret. He pees on everything at least 1 time durning the night.. So i need a floor that can be wiped/washed clean easly a few times a day.

Yup, a kennel will fit no problem and the floors are hard plastic removable trays so they can be washed no problem at all. The shelves also have removable bottoms so everything can be cleaned easily. I can get a picture of my small carrier inside if you want.
