At least 2 weeks and you should introduce them very slowly. When I got Johnny (he was 3 months old), Demon was 6 months of age. The first time Demon met Johnny he started hissing. We put Johnny in a cage in our room and Demon was sleeping in the ferret room. When it was play time, Demon was following Johnny everywhere, biting him, making him cry and scared and he was hissing about everything Johnny could did. After a month, Demon started to accept the fact that Johnny was here to stay .. so he started to play with him but we were not really able to put the 2 in the same room because Johnny wanted to sleep with Demon and Demon did not want to ! After 2 months things started to get better .. Now they are 2 adorable ferret brothers Of course, Demon always been a little Demon .. but Johnny knows it haha Here's what I did to introduce Johnny to Demon : - Wash all toys and bedding to mix the odor of Johnny and Demon together. - Always supervised the play time for 2 months - Put more water bottles, water dishes and food dishes - Buy new toys for Johnny because Demon did not want to share his squirrels and his donut toy .. so we got a Loopies and Nobbly Wobbly toys for Johnny .. then we got new toys for the 2 Demon still do not want to sleep with Johnny ! Johnny wants to but Demon hates when Johnny comes where he is sleeping .. so just in case, make sure there's enough bedding in your ferrets cage/room. Demon also hates to share his squirrel so thats why we found toys that Johnny loves and Demon doesn't care about lol But well .. its kinda normal .. ferrets love to play fight ;D

I think I got off lucky with all three of mine. When I brought Loki home I sat him on the floor, My hubby put Pan(who was soaking wet from a bath lol) down from across the room, she ran to him completely forgetting that she was wet, game him a few sniffs and was doing her little war dance with him trying to play. Loki wanted to explore but in no time at all he could not resist Pan's invitation to play so he was doing the dance back and the were chasing each other all over the house, they were immediate BFF. Then one night I bring Airy home, we tried the introduction the same way but were a little more cautious because she was a little kit, Pan Pan and my Loki Lo approached her and were sniffing her, the followed her around everywhere but it seemed that they didn't know what to make of her, then Pan once again decided to do the little dance and again the were immediatly playing and Loki was soon to join in, so again I was lucky because they loved and accepted her right from the very start. Hopefully you will be this lucky when Ricky meets his new brother. BUt still Annik offered you some very good advice because not every ferret imediatly gets along with a new sibling, especially where Ricky is used to being your only baby there may be some jealouse issues at first. One thing I will tell you Christina, you may think it is amusing to have one ferret, well wait unto you have two, it is a whole new ball game, especially when they are playing together, chasing each other around the house and even on occasion jumping in mid air at each other, Ricky is gonna love having a brother
