Yes, it was my landlord and her son that heard her. They said it sounded like scrathing on a pipe or something. And they said they could hear her move from the bedroom wall and walk into the bathroom and heard around in the bathroom ceiling.

That does sound encouraging!
However, you have to get her out of there as soon as possible or she'll get dehydrated and then it gets dicey as to whether she'll survive. Ferrets can only go so long without water. Once serious dehydration sets in the internal organs start to shut down, and that is not reversible.
A hole in the wall is worth the pain and expense of repairing it - if it saves her life.
What kind of ceiling is in the bathroom? If its ceiling panels you should be able to remove one or two. If its gyproc, you can make a hole in it. Wooden panels may require a handyman's intervention.
Holes can always be repaired.
Keep us posted!

Well we haven't heard anything in the walls since the first time my landlord heard it Friday night. I'm afraid pretty much all of my hope has diminished on finding this little one. It breaks my heart and I totally blame my own stupidity for this. I will definitly be going through every inch of my apartment and ferret proofing everything five times over once our new floor is down this week. I'm so disappointed that I couldn't find her, and I'm disappointed in myself for allowing this to happen. Thank you all so so much for all of your help, it means the world to me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

A hole in the wall is worth the pain and expense of repairing it - if it saves her life. Agreed, I actually had to do that months back when Loki was in the wall and i would do it 1000 times over again if I had to, I have never been so scared in my life. Please don't give up just yet, Maybe you could hold your ear to each wall and listen for her, if you hear her, you can break her out of there, I will certainly keep your little girl in my prayers and wish she can get rescued soon..also, is there a animal control or something that you can call to give you some kind of assistance in rescuing her? And please please, don't blame yourself, accidents happen, ferrets can get into almost everything, It has happened to many of us with our ferrets. Last month my husband found Airy in the garage, we didn't even realize she was missing, she managed to slip out right past him when he went out the first time and he didn't even see her, that is how easily it can happen.

I am really sorry Ferrets should not have access to the kitchen or laundry areas of homes. Reclining furniture is another serious hazzard to ferrets. More ferrets are killed in reclining furniture than anything else. And more ferrets escape through dryer hoses than any other way. Tressie

We have been listening to walls and ceiling for her and so has my landlords son. She was heard in the upstairs apartment so there's not a whole lot I can do when I live downstairs. Her sons listens everynight for her and checks the food and blankets they have out for her but have heard nothing since Friday. My landlord just finished renovating the entire house, new insulation and dry wall so ripping down the wall is a no go. She's helping as much as she can right now.

Did the landlord's son say if it looked like your ferret ate or drank from that food or water. What if you offered to pay to have the damages repaired, would your landlord let you rip the wall down then? When was it that she was last heard upstairs? was it recently?? Sorry for all the questions, I just really really hope you can get her back.

I am really sorry Ferrets should not have access to the kitchen or laundry areas of homes. Reclining furniture is another serious hazzard to ferrets. More ferrets are killed in reclining furniture than anything else. And more ferrets escape through dryer hoses than any other way. Tressie My apartment is open concept so either they're in these areas or they don't get free run time. I do not have any reclining furniture so this is not a problem. My fridge and stove are ferret proofed and my washer is a portable and has to be hooked to the kitchen sink when I use it, when it's not in use it's in a corner blocked off but theres no where a ferret could get into it, there's not even any space on the bottom of it to crawl under. and the dryer I had the tube zip tied on and "thought" I had it blocked off so they couldn't get to it, but I was wrong. I've only owned ferrets since September so I am new to this. I researched for two years prior to getting them and they have the best care in the world. It was just an accident that they managed to get back there and get the tube off. I'm always watching them but they done this as I was cooking supper that day so I didn't know what they had done until I heard Rucklus struggling to get out the vent being the fatty that he is he could barely fit. I know it was only luck that I cought him, I feel absolutely terrible that she is gone. There is not much left that I can do now, I've exhausted my options and she'll gone a week tomorrow. I have not given up, I listen every night to see if I can hear her and her carrier is still outside with blankets, food, and water, but deep down in my heart I really don't think she's coming back. Call me irresopnsable if you like, but I tried my best that's all I can do.

The food hasen't been touched and the blankets haven't been disturbed. I talk with him a couple times a day to get updates but so far nothing.

Unfortunately, if she had been without food or water for several days she may have died in there.
I would still go to where your landlord said she heard her and gently knock on the wall or ceiling and calling her name. And then listen very carefully. If she's still alive you should hear something.

I am so sorry I seriously believe that ferrets should be kept caged or in a ferret proofed room when you are sleeping or working/studying. & You have to be VERY careful with ferrets room because it is REALLY HARD to have a real ferret-proofed room that can "replace" a ferret nation cage. Because it is so hard to ferret proof a little tiny room, I do believe its basicaly impossible to totally ferret proof your whole house/apartment. Too much things can happen while your eyes are away. When I let my ferrets out, I am actually following them everywhere they go because in 2 sec Johnny can climb my tv stand or my coffee table and trust me, if I was not there to put him down he will probably climb as high as he can and probably get injured. To me, the meaning of "ferret proofing your house/apartment" only means that you are removing the obvious dangers to get a more easy-going ferret-sitter job.

My bedroom is my ferret room and even in here im paranoid. There is a hole in the wall behind the heater, we have the heater glued to the wall and my desk pressing as hard against it as possible. We Our bed is placed on the floor and we took all the stuffing out of our boxspring to make sure he cant get any of that out(Someone at the ferret frolic gave us a suggestion of stapling cardboard around it which is a great idea that i will follow. And Im thinking of getting something to drill over that hole in the wall(We rent so there are things we can and cant do).
Even with that Im paranoid with him out. I always make sure im in the room(Even if its just on the computer)

i put pegboard on the bottom of my couch so my ferrets couldn't get up in there but since it had holes in it the air could still move. also, ferrets could dig through cardboard if you are not watching carefully. i screwed the pegboard to the bottom of my couch, i am sure that it would screw to the bottom of your box spring no problem. as for the hole in the wall, peg board would fix that too if you don't mind putting a few holes in the wall for screws, one on the top and one on the bottom should be good enough since the peg board is stiff. i got the peg board from home depot. it comes in 4 foot by 2 foot sections.

Once i get those things done my bedroom will be 100% ferret safe except for her getting into my parrot food thinking its a rice bin!!
