It is quite normal for ferrets to get a lighter coat after their fall shed and a darker coat following the spring shed. However, I've had one ferret who was the opposite, that is, darker in winter and lighter in summer.
Ferrets can have several coat colour changes during their lifetimes, sometimes quite startling. The most astonishing change I heard of was a black sable who turned into a dark-eyed white. I know of two such cases. And then some never change their coat colour for years and suddenly change.

Demon has 2 little marks under his eyes, I find that he looks like a football player lol but during winter, his face his all white. My boyfriend and I find him more cute during summer time but my mom says that he's more cute during winter because he looks like an angel with his white face instead of summer time - she says he really looks evil with those marks lol ;D She also says that Johnny is way more cute during summer than winter - that's probly because he has a racoon mask during summer and it almost disapears in winter lol Just for fun .. I'd like to share lol : Johnny is my grand-mother's favorite boy Everytime she calls him, he runs in her arms ! My dad like them both and my grand-father too. My mom likes Johnny in summer and Demon in winter lol My boyfriend's mom loves Demon because she finds him more cuddly. His dad is a bit afraid of them lol but he likes watching them tunneling and doing tricks. His grand-mother doesn't like them at all hahaha probably because they look a bit like weasels
