Loki lately it seems is even more attached to me then ever, I cannot even walk around when he is out because he is right at my feet and I am always tripping over him, he never leaves me alone for a second, he even is always standing on two feet with his front paws on my legs just begging me to pick him up with big sad eyes, I love all the extra attention that I get from him, but I kind of feel bad for his sisters because they try to initiate play with him and he shrugs them off because he would rather spend his time with me...Last night My hubby was hanging up a dart board and when i walked into the room there was Loki standing on his two feet with his front paws on my husband's leg..I got kind of jealous and was like "buddy, Im right here, what are you doing with him??" lol. Is it normal that a ferret can get so attached to its owners to the extent that it starts to neglect interacting with its ferret sisters?? I find his lovable personality such a pleasant surprise because when I bought him I was told that I wouldn't want him because he was a "aggressive biter" and look how far he has come along..Just goes to show that no animal is hopeless and if people can just put their time and faith in a animal, any animal can make a great and loving pet

"Loki lately it seems is even more attached to me then ever, I cannot even walk around when he is out because he is right at my feet and I am always tripping over him, he never leaves me alone for a second, he even is always standing on two feet with his front paws on my legs just begging me to pick him up with big sad eyes" Johnny and Demon do the SAME with my boyfriend and I. Its so adorable ! And its funny you've been told that you wouldn't want Loki because he was "aggressive biter". When we got Johnny, he was a terrible biter and he was very scared of us ! He is not deaf, but he spent a month and a half in the pet store and I believe he was not really getting human attention...and I find him a little more cuddly than Demon. Oh well Demon is SURE VERY cuddly .. he's a big baby lol but its special with Johnny .. because he was so scared and now he's just always around following us and asking for more cuddles I find that (fixed) male ferrets are more cuddly than females. Anyhow .. I find (no matter what sex they are) that ferrets are the most lovable pets ever ! They REALLY LOVE their humans and if you pay a little attention, you will see that they show us their love everyday. Some people think they are "independant" pets because they do not sit with you to watch a movie like a cats and dogs .. yes, they are very "go go" but god ! If you love them, they will love you with all their heart until the very last second of their life .. !

It seems the ones who have a longer distance to come - in terms of behaviour or illness, appear to bond more strongly with their humans. HOWEVER, sometimes a ferret becomes more clingy because they aren't feeling well. If he seems normal otherwise - e.g., good appetite, normal stool, no teeth grinding, not abnormally lethargic, no broken teeth (common), no bald spots, runny nose, etc. then I would chalk it up to loving his humans Tressie
