Ferret Shaped Puddles

Hi Everyone,
Just had a frivolous question for all relating to my ferrets behavior(Rupert and Jacob not the two girlies).

Our house and the ferrets room is all hardwood floor with a couple of rugs and blankets on the ground. Now Rupert and Jacob can be running around like mad things doing thier little crazy dance and (often) the second the hit the rug they turn into a ferret shaped puddle. They just collapse bonelessly with thier back legs streched out and their chins on the floor and slither along the rug until they come to the other side - the hardwood - and then they are up and going crazy again.

I know there's nothing wrong with them I was just curious. Do you think it's the texture of the carpet? Do you think it indicates taht they like it or that it's getting in the way of their playtime? I'll try to capture the behavior on video if for no other reason than it's pretty funny to watch

we have this shaggy area rug and fred LOVES to rub his face on it. he is so silly. when he comes out to play the first thing he does is do the carpet shark slither through the rug i assume that means he likes it. haha!

i found this video. it is of fred rubbing his face on the carpet after he had some medicine but it is pretty close to what he does when he comes out to play, except usually he just pushes himself through, not back and forth like that

Well Jen .. Do they like it or it's getting in the way of their playtime ? Maybe both. Because Demon does this when there's something new ( for example, a new toy) - maybe to say he likes it?, while he's playing with his little brother Johnny and when we are playing with him .. to make it short .. when he's happy lol Anyhow .. I always find carpets make ferrets crazy haha I can't wait to see your video Jen !!
