After having a very difficult past week, after just losing two of my beloved little angels, the house felt very empty with only 4 ferrets around instead of 6, and to make matters worse my boyfriend (Who is an on call service electrician for Loblaws NB) had been away all week. Jamie finally came home last night and upon his arrival told me he had got me a present, which was by our front door. I went to the door and saw there was nothing there, but heard a noise behind me. I turned around and on the floor was the smallest little baby ferret! A Real Canadian Ferret!  This is my new little girl. Anyone have any good ideas for a name? I was thinking maybe Kasey, Penny or Keisha. Thanks! Ashley |

Warmest Congratulations Ashley! She is adorable  You deserve a youthful, healthy, vigorous (look at those paws!) - Real Canadian kit after all you've been through this past year and all your painful losses. Bless that sweetheart boyfriend of yours  I like all the names. Any one of them seems to suit her. First name that came to mind when I saw her was 'Valentine' because of her heart-shaped nose and heart-shaped face. But go with the name that resonates for you. And if you can't pick one, you may end up having to put names in a pile and letting your new baby pick out her own name. I'm sure others will suggest a few more names for you to choose from as well. Oh my gosh, Ashley! She is just the cutest little thing  I think the name Penny is really cute. I am so sorry for your loses. |

She is adorable. When I saw her mitts the name that came to mind is Mitini. It is Irish for Mittens.
Whatever name she receives she will bring great joy.
Sorry to hear that you have lost two. It is always hard.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and input. After a few days of Keisha coming out of my mouth when I referring to her, I decided that must be the name for her!
She is just the sweetest little thing and so well behaved and for only being 8 weeks old she's already using the litter box like a pro and doesn't nip like most kits do.
As much as I dislike the fact that my boyfriend supported awful Pets Unlimited buy purchasing her, I am so glad he did!

OMG!!! What a sweet and beautiful little girl!! a Real Canadian at that!! Im jealous!! And how sweet of Jamie to do that for you I don't like the idea of supporting Pets Unlimited either, but at least she is in a good home with you and not there anymore where she would probably be neglected or mistreated. I think she found the perfect home with you. My Pan Pan came from PU..It scares me to think what could have happened to her if she didn't end up with me. |
