I don't know where she is located. I initially thought it might be the UK but I'm not certain. She is a breeder and the hob belongs to another breeder. His picture is on the top of the page along with Cammy's.
People donated money for the c-section and she in turn said she would match that amount and donate it to a ferret rescue.
Somewhere on there it says Sandy Jill Ferret - but that might only be a description. 'Sandy' is a colour the Brits use for ferrets.

I could hear the man and woman having a conversation in the background and they had British accents - so somewhere in the UK.
I don't think they have the rules and laws we do here around breeding because they don't neuter or spay their ferrets as a general rule. So this may be a hobby breeder.

Yeah. It still seems irresponsible to me. Cammy is only 14 months old. I know that ferrets are different but I still think that you shouldn't breed before 2 years. Cammy isn't much more than a baby herself On another ferret forum I am on there is a girl from Norway. She has just started breeding. Her ferret is due in the beginning of May. She has had the hob for years (he is 3-4 I think) and her jill is 2 I am pretty sure. She researched for 2 years for before she started breeding and she also shows her ferrets. I am completely ok with responsible breeding. 14 months is just too young in my opinion.

I don't know what the typical age is that people start breeding ferrets. Probably depends on how knowledgeable and responsible the people are.
Apparently, the mating of the hob and Cammy was also broadcast. I have not seen this but from what I have read it is quite violent and jills have been known to be killed.
The whole business should be left in the hands of knowledgeable and responsible breeders and not someone dabbling as a hobby in this like this couple appears to be.
The fact that she didn't have the resources for emergency veterinary care is troubling considering birthing complications in ferrets are quite common.

She definitely seemed totally unprepared. It seems her vet was unprepared as well. You would think that if they are in the UK the vets would be more experienced with birthing kits. I don't know, I just have to let it go. The whole situation makes me very frustrated.
